Typical writing day, excerpt, sadness.

I've written about a typical writing day for me here.

I also posted an excerpt of Seduce the Darkness here.

I woke up to a messed up computer with no email -- the program was erased from my it.  Again.  This time, I did nothing.  I think I just need a new computer and will probably have to take care of that today.  I'm not sure how often I'll be online.

But new computer! Fun! (Well, after the set up is done.)

Pain in the butt...I know. Deadlines, broken equipment, and tons of frustration. Deep breath, look at a piece of nature's beauty, and know this will pass and you will succeed - you always do. If that doesn't work, cuss out something, throw a few things, and go find the wine!

Thank you for making me laugh so early in the morning, Gena, heh. I read your daily process and...wow. You write a chapter, but it is in a cut up process.

My husband and I would sit down at night after the baby has gone to bed around 7-7:30pm and would write one until about 10:30-11pm. If we hit brick walls, we just sit there and are able to discuss things. But it's so nice that you have friends like Jill to call up who are fellow writers to talk about things like that. Definitly helps when you get stuck.

*Face palm* My hubby and I reeeeally need to get back into the groove of writing. I say it so many times and we don't...but we just need to. I have the itch and urge to, but once the day is out I have been so tired from our 2 year old and my husband from work it gets hard. Not to mention this other baby is literally sucking the life outta me, lol.

But anyway, make sure to give yourself those well deserved breaks! *Gives you a cup of coffee*

I hate it when that happens! glad it was your email and not your your book!

And that's why I use Gmail on the internet and not through any program!

Hope you get it resolved soon. I hate the feeling of being disconnected.

Hugs!

Ohhh Gena. . .I'm so sorry! We'll see you when you return--but good thing it only took out the e-mail program and NOT one of your "works-in-progress"! But yea for getting a new 'puter!

(Had to re-comment. . .I sounded a mite illiterate before lOL!)

Hang in there Gena..shopping always helps on bad days. I can't wait to hang out with Bride and Devyn...Cheer up...one day at a time.

Hey Gena, I am sad that you are sad...everything will work out...
A new comp can be fun...this is a perfect excuse to go out and shop...call your friends...Jill and Kresley, and just take a breather with them...Jill makes you laugh so you know things will be up with her...grab a bag of Cheetos Crunchy not Puffs, they are too light...lol...and breathe out...

Close your eyes, and go to your happy place...breathe in, breathe out...open your eyes...see, you are on a beach surrounded by white sands, being serenaded by birds and the waves crashing on the shore...feel that breeze and just take a look around...there is nothing but blue skies...half-naked men running around to do your bidding, and a big cup of java...hope that image relaxed you and made you smile...

Your writing process is a grueling one, and I am so glad that it was emails that got knocked out...

Chin up, and I will see you when you get back online...

Peace and love,
Paula R.

Ahhh, computers. A bane and a blessing all at the same time. On the positive, missing/deleted emails are better than more important files!! Besides, new computers are fun too...once you get used to everything all over agian ;)

That sucks about your computer. I hate having to get one, but I always enjoy the new one once I have it. Love the excerpt.

i pre ordered the darkest whisper today woooooo
