Party Week -- Day four! Prizes, a new contest. Plus, a bonus chat!!
Welcome to Kiss and Seduce! The winners of yesterday's contest are . . .
Delinah (Red Fire)
Caffey (Red Kiss)
Cambria Dillon (Red Fire)
Mariee (one of my books, your choice, as long as I have it in stock)
2 tsp. Lemon juice
1 ½ oz. Brandy
1 tsp. Ouzo
Ginger Ale
Shake brandy and lemon juice and pour into a Collins glass. Fill with ginger ale and float Ouzo.
Now, a word from Deidre: My mind is spinning from all the globetrotting that Gena and I’ve been doing. Or maybe it’s that my mind is actually spinning from too much Sake in Tokyo yesterday. By the way, when Gena started begging for a second dragon tattoo, I cut her off, especially because there was a pair of very helpful Marines who volunteered to help. Something about selecting the portion of her naked body where it would look best. Welcome to Cougartown!
Except then I remember that Gena is a really good girl, and I used my handy-dandy quick sobriety trick. I gave Gena a big ole slice of bread and told her, “Eat it. It’s a booze sponge.”
Right after that, we had to run, not walk, our way to the plane for our latest destination.
By the way, those two military “helpers” (always happy to serve their country, apparently) chased on our tails. They kept saying something about Gena and teaching her to shout hoohrah a little louder.
So guess where we are today, my friends?? Oh, let me just tell you, the sunlight is perfect, the sky so blue, and the architecture pearly white. Yes, that would be GREECE!! Athens, to be exact, and we’re climbing (huffing? Puffing) to the very top of the Acropolis! What could be more perfect for celebrating the release of RED KISS, after all, than visiting Greece!!
Wait! Oh no! What’s that noise? Oh my!! Gena just knocked over a massive crumbling pillar. And it really is…crumbling! Oh no!! Call those Marines back, Gena might get crushed beneath the Acropolis!
Whew. Okay. They saved her. Unfortunately…we could not save the Acropolis. I think it’s a goner. Well, not quite (examining, shielding eyes from blazing Greek sun). It appears that only the rear portion has crumbled and fallen. Gena, on the other hand, is perfectly collected and being carried back down the hill by her military hotties.
Uh, Gena? Just one word for you, wild woman: hoorah!
Today's contest: Just leave a comment in this thread and you'll be entered to win Red Fire or Red Kiss by Deidre (there will be two lucky winners and you'll get the book of your choice). There will also be a drawing for one of my backlist.
Also happening today: A chat with Gena and Deidre! Tonight (Thursday, June 11) at 8 central. It's in the Knight Agency Chatroom. Visit the chatroom here, enter a username and password, and boom! But your computer must have Java. We hope to see you there!! We'll be giving away prizes then, as well.

Have fun but please dont get too hung up on the military guys. They do look hot in their uniforms though.
Oh, I would love to win a book too.

Lani, re: military guys, I married a former one, so I think that's a done deal! 18 yrs on Monday.
Rachel, booze sponge as hang over cure is brilliant. Although a cheeseburger is a good idea, too! Lol.

Alta said... 7:23 AM
Hey ladies.Have we all been having fun on the tour or what? And the military yummies......be still my heart...okay not for real unless a vamp wants a bite!.... Anyway..just a little FYI. I have found that french fries or potatoes of all kinds has the sponge effect too!!!And **Rachel** If you want to help a hangover BEFORE it starts..take B vitamins through out the day before the party starts and lots of water. Then after the party and before bed take a couple of tylenol and a big glass of water, I have found that it works wonders and since a hangover is mostly due to dehydration (so I have been told) it does help. It may not stop a hangover completely but it won't be as bad....I hope everyone comes to the chat tonight .....it should be a real HOOT!!!You girls are the BEST!!!
Ducky said... 7:28 AM
@kellyS, thanks for buying RED FIRE! I can't wait to hear what you think! Btw, for those of you who love give aways, I do lots of great prizes every month on my newsletter. You should stop by my site at www.DeidreKnight.com and sign up! We do gift certificates, jewlery, you name it!
@Brunette-31, thank you for the sweet words about my anniversary. We got married young. :) But we are so happy together and feel so blessed to spend our lives together as best friends. It's one big inspiration for me in writing romance--living with a great guy for such a long time!
And, gang... you do know this is just CYBER travel, right? I had a friend email me this morning who hadn't read the blog closely enough and he really thought I was in Tokyo! LOL! :) Of course, that's the only time I'm issuing that disclaimer b/c I prefer a reputation as a wild, globe-trotting, tattoo-acquiring, cougar-meowing woman. :)
