Good News Friday!
If you want an early copy, Seduce the Darkness is shipping from Barnes and Noble here!
I'm up to chapter 23 of Gideon's story. I ~think~ the end finally came to me and if I'm on the right track, there will be 30 chapters (as I originally thought/hoped -- it's funny how that works out.)
I am considering going to see The Proposal as well as Year One today. I've been wanting to see them SO BAD. So I might do a double feature today and write chapter 23 tonight. Movies are one of the ways I refill my creative well, so that's how I justify taking the time off to myself :)
Tell me your good news! Or bad news. Or any news.
I wanted to check out The Proposal too. I have a house to myself this weekend (to read)...YEA!!! I'm very excited to read Seduce the Darkness. Have a great weekend Gena and fellow minions.

You definitely deserve the time off Gena :) I really want to see those too...so...I'm going to try to go to see one of them tonight! :)
Has the next Lord's story come to you yet? You've mentioned that you usually know about half way through the one you're working on at the time.
My good news...seeing the light at the end of the tunnel as far as med school applications go...and I leave for the beach tomorrow! ...haven't been to the beach in FOREVER...

Not to mention a bit of a personal break to relax before you get back down to writing.
I need to get the Alient Huntress novels and read those. I haven't gotten to those yet mainly because money has been so tight now a days. But dangit, I need some new books. I haven't gotten any in a while, lol.
I guess it is kind of a book thing books from my favorite authors don't pop out too quick or else I'd definitly be broke, heh.
When you write books, do you plan things out? Like kind of an outline? Or do you just write as you go?
Anyway, have fun at the movies this weekend, Gena!

I'm soooo excited to watch Year One tonight!! I hope you like it :)
Congrats on Gideon's story going so well! I can't wait to read it :) Any idea when it might be published: late 2010 or 2011?

Good news is I just ordered Seduce the Darkness over at B&N---YAY!!
If anyone is looking for a good book to read while we all wait for Gena's I will have to say that Shannon Butcher's Burning Alive:The Sentinel Wars is really engrossing. I can't seem to put it down.

Yay for taking time off for pleasure, Gena! Not that writing isn't a pleasure in itself, but we all need a little variety to keep from going *insane* :)
My good news is that I've finally buckled down to write something completely and the process has been a blast. I discovered that I'm definitely more of a pantzer than plotter. I get twitchy if I have too many things detailed out.
Good luck with finishing Gideon! I'm so excited to get a look at TDL - he's such a fun character!

Good news...good news...good news...Let's see...I ordered Seduce the Darkness. I'm so excited.
Congrat's on Chapter 23 of Gideon's story. Does story writing always come easy to you, or do you rely on other sources? You make it sound so natural for you!

Great News; I got the book you sent me today! I am sooo excited. Bad News; I can't start reading it until after next wednesday! We are moving in 8 days and I have so much to do before the movers come on tuesday and wednesday! Good News; I will get time to read it after wednesday and I will have a nice 2 week cross country vacation! I think I might fit a few movies in there too! THANKS A MILLION FOR THE BOOK!

Lots of questions, let's see if I can conquer them all in one try.
I loved the Proposal. Needed more Ryan R naked though :) Wasn't loving Year One as much as I thought. Adored Land of the Lost.
I am leaning toward Strider or Amun as the next Lord. I know you guys want Paris, but that thread isn't ready yet. However, I do know his storyline. I just have to plant to seeds to make it grow, so to speak :)
Writing is not always easy, but I make myself do it anyway :)
I just figure things out as I go :)

You should all watch it. It's just great, Ryan Reynolds and Sandra at their best :)

Stider will be VERY interesting. The girl could really give him a run with the things she could make him do, heh.
Kane and Amun would both be wonderful to read about! I love how Kane kind of has that comical 'things always happening to him' thing going on, but you also feel sorry for him.
As for Amun...it's just really sad he can't talk without revealing something about someone...and that he actually knows some pretty disturbing things.
I seriously do love how you created your characters though, Gena. Each is an individual.
And good news...I was able to buy the Alien Huntress books! Even your new one that is coming out. My hubby said it was alright since I haven't gotten any books in a while and I have been itching to read something new. And they are yours, so even better :D I can't wait to start them.
Have a wonderful time at the movies!

I'm going to have go see "The Proposal" this week. I was busy Friday night entertaining a Moms Night Out Wine Party to celebrate the end of the school year. Such a good time! So many moms needing a glass of wine (or two!).
Can't wait for your new book! Christine Feehan and Lora Leigh have new books out, too, around the same time, so I'm gonna be in book heaven!!

AY YAY YAY! (think Ricky Ricardo) Gideon baby I am in pain waiting for your story. Ms. Showalter I am thrilled at your progress. Any spoilers for new lords finding love in Gideon's story (no names necessary)R u any closer to the elusive Paris? I am actually limiting myself from the message board to minimize my anguish. Gideeeoon hurry to us!
ginathefan said... 8:52 PM
oops! guess you answered that already...heehee....so Amun or Strider wow! The message board will be in an uproar over this tidbit especially concerning Strider! My blue haired hottie has found love i officially have no preference in the love line-up. Hey which lord is being totally silent and refuses to cooperate?
ginathefan said... 9:04 PM
I really can't wait for Gideon's book!! He is my favorite of the Lords. I hope you decide to do Amun's next.

Now news, my truck is breaking down and has to go to the shop yet the good news is i cant stop seeing butterfly all this week and i know bad things are happening but i look forward to the future. I'm in chapter 6 of my book and now im wonder where to take my story from there. I've always been a good writer but i never had the patience to sit down and write a book. I think after reading yours it inspired me to actually write mine. If i ever get it published i am so gonna put u on my dedicated list.
