A SEARING PASSION
Keir's Tuatha D'Danann brethren are the only real family he has ever known. He trusts no one-until he is sent to San Francisco and meets Rhiannon, the one woman with enough fire to tame him. Every seductive encounter convinces Keir that she belongs with him-even though Rhiannon knows her powers could put him in peril.

Question for you!

If you could pick one romance novel hero to come to life and fall in love with you, who would it be? (and, if you have time, tell me why!)

As I prepare myself for diving back into The Darkest Pleasure I find myself really pondering the appeal of the most beloved romance land heroes. Like what makes them stand out, what makes our hearts melt, what makes us want them completely focused on us.

Me. You.

While on vacation, I didn't do as much reading as I thought I would. Last night, I decided to fix that. Started Demon's Kiss by Eve Silver and it's one of those you just can't put down. Needless to say, I am tired. And guess what I will be doing today? Reading. Must. . . finish. . . So so good!!! I'm truly loving it. I need to interview Eve here or something. She's so pretty and talented.

Ater that, I want to read Caressed by Ice (by Nalini Singh) again. Like I said, that's one of Nalini's absolute best books and though I read the book a few months ago, I'm still obsessed with the delicious hero.

What are you guys reading?
What did you do while I was gone?

Beefcake

you've seen it before, I know. But totally worth looking at again. Plus, my mind is still in vacay fog.
Plane ride home was bumpy. We dropped 3 times. 3 times! I think my gasps and sweating freaked out the woman beside me.
Great to be back!

I'm back!

But my blog is all jacked up. I'm trying to fix it, but nothing is working. As soon as I get this taken care of, I will post!

Beefcake Monday

I've always liked him (added: more than Heather).

I picked up some more books for my trip. The Royal Mess by MaryJanice Davidson. To Hell with Love. City of Bones. A few more, but I'm drawing a blank.

I've been catching up on some TV. I'm in love with Kathy Griffin and her show My Life on the D List. That woman cracks me up! I need to write a character like her into a book. I adore Chelsy Handler, too. I've been watching House -- bought the first season.

I will return soon!

Good News Friday!

I'm turning in the revised The Darkest Kiss today!!! Then, shopping for my vacation. Then, vacationing! When I get back, I dive back into The Darkest Pleasure. But as of today I'm alive and done with SMS and TDK. Done. The word is pure mind candy!

What's your news?

Still chugging along

I should finish The Darkest Kiss tomorrow!! Yea!

Just a note. Caressed by Ice by Nalini Singh will be hitting stands soon. This is a MUST buy. Her books are among my absolute favorites and this one takes it to the next level. SO soooo good. Dare I say her best yet? A hero who can't experience emotion without pain and a heroine whose skirting the edge of madness, making him feel. Shivers! Seriously, I read this in ARC form but I'll be buying it for my keeper shelf. I'm in total awe of Nalini.

Updates

Savor Me Slowly is off to my editor!!

I'm back in the thick of The Darkest Kiss. About a 100 pages in to my read. So far so good, 'cause I'd only missed one big thing and a few smaller things.

A few coverflats for the mass market version of Catch A Mate came in. SO awesome! I adore this cover and think it really captures the spirit of the book (more so than the other)

What are you guys working on? Any more book recommendations?

Beefcake Monday

Sorry I disappeared! I've been working from the time I wake up until the time I go to bed on The Darkest Kiss revisions and Savor Me Slowly copy edits. I've done a first read-through on both, making my changes. Now, I need to do a second (more intense) read-through to make sure all the changes work and I haven't caused a domino effect. More from me soon!

Books

Excellent suggestions, ladies!

I read Tangled Up In You by Rachel Gibson. I am such a huge fan of hers and this book did not disappoint. I wanted to jump all over the hero. Yum! I read Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr and was amazed at her talent. She paints the story in your mind and it's breathtaking!

For my trip, I bought:

In Her Bed by Deborah MacGillivray
A Warrior's Taking by Margo Maguire
When You Believe by Jessica Inclan
Something Wicked by Catherine Mulvany
What Isabella Desires by Anne Mallory

Something I want to save for my trip but know I won't be able to resist for long is Susan Grant's How To Lose an Extraterrestrial in 10 Days. Don't you just love that title? And it features one of my favorite characters ever of hers, Reef. Must hold out...but it's just so hard!

Something else I'm trying to prevent myself from reading until my trip is Demon's Kiss by Eve Silver. That cover is amazing, and the story sounds absolutely delicious. I can't wait. Must wait, must wait. But again, it's so hard. . .

What are you reading?

Beefcake Monday

He's like a statue come to life! Me want!
The rough draft for The Darkest Pleasure is done. Yea! Revisions are coming in for The Darkest Kiss this week. Copy edits are coming in for Savor Me Slowly, as well. Things are gonna get busy come Wed.

Also, I'm going away for a whole week very soon. I need books, books and more books to read! Any suggestions? Throw them at me -- PLEASE!

I have recently read:

Stripped
by Julie Leto. So, soooo good! A witch who kinda sorta loses her powers -- yes, sign me up! Julie's books are so hot and the characters so much fun. I really loved the chemistry between the leads. I loved the magic, the secondary characters and the aciton, and I cannot wait for the next one!

The Billionaire Next Door
by Jessica Bird. I can't recall if I've ever read a Silhouette Special Edition before, but man, this one was fantastic! I picked it up because I am a rabid JR Ward fangirl and I had heard that JR also writes as Jessica. What a treat! No paranormal elements, but it didn't matter at all. The characters are absolutely fabulous and the story is wonderful. You can bet I will be picking up all the others. In fact, I'm drooling for them. Read this book and see if you can stop yourself from falling in love with all 3 O'Banyon brothers.

More reviews coming soon. I have to tell you about one of the BEST books I've ever read. But it's not coming out till October, so I might hold off on talking about it until closer to its release date. I don't know, we'll see!
